Covering Water Wars: Media, Science and the Politics of Hydro- Conflict in the Horn of Africa
In Delft, I will be working with researchers at IHE Delft Institute for Water Education, within its Water Governance department and the Water, Peace and Security partnership. My project looks at two connected water crises in the Horn of Africa: the dispute over the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, and the destruction of water infrastructure during and after the Tigray war. Working alongside scientists at the forefront of research on water governance and conflict, I will produce a long-form investigation and an audio documentary series.
