On November 10, we celebrate the World Science Day for Peace and Development. On this day, we want to share FRONTIERS’ vision for a world where scientists and science journalists work together, each with their own expertise, to bring accurate and trustworthy scientific information to the largest number of people. We believe these are key for ensuring that science plays its role in peace and development.
The World Science Day for Peace and Development was established by UNESCO in 2001 to highlight the important role that science plays in promoting peace and sustainable development worldwide.
Each year, scientific institutions worldwide mark this occasion with activities that remind us of the critical role that science and scientific cooperation play in addressing global challenges and improving the well-being of humanity.
